Terms of Use.

Last updated · August 2026

Welcome to BetterDinnerPlans, a dinner-planning site operated by Wallace Digital LLC, a Florida company — and run by a family that wanted its own evenings back. It is free to use today. By using the site, you're agreeing to these terms — we've kept them short, honest, and readable on purpose, because terms nobody can understand protect nobody.

The most important part: allergies & food safety
Please read this one twiceOur planner helps you steer around the allergies and dietary needs you tell it about, and it suggests swaps when a recipe would collide with them. But we cannot see the products in your kitchen or your cart. Brands change recipes, "may contain" warnings vary, and only the label on the actual package knows the truth. Always read product labels yourself, every time, for every ingredient — especially where a serious allergy is involved. Know also what labels can't tell you: "may contain" warnings are voluntary and unstandardized, and allergens introduced by factory cross-contact aren't required to appear on the label at all — so a missing warning never means a product is safe. Our suggestions are planning help, not a safety guarantee, and nothing on this site is medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. For medical questions about food, ask a doctor or registered dietitian, not a dinner planner. You cook from this site at your own risk — the same honest risk as cooking from any cookbook.
About our recipes

Honesty about how the kitchen works: our recipes are original dishes written with the help of modern AI tools in our own kitchen's style, and built to be cooked, rated, and improved by the real families who use the site — every rating sharpens them. When enough households flag the same problem, we revise the recipe and say so right on the page. Cook times, difficulty, and results will naturally vary with your equipment, your stove, and your Tuesday.

Nutrition numbers are honest estimates, calculated from each recipe's ingredient list. They're good for planning; they are not lab measurements, and they shouldn't be used for medical decisions.

Your account
  • You must be 13 or older to create an account. Anyone can browse and cook from the site at any age — the age line is only about holding an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we'll delete it (see the Privacy Policy).
  • One account per person, created with accurate information and a real email address.
  • Keep your password to yourself; what happens under your account is yours.
  • You can close your account anytime — no tricks, no retention dark patterns (see the Privacy Policy for what deletion means).
Your ratings, our recipes

Your contributions stay yours. You own your ratings, tap-tags, and notes. By submitting them you give BetterDinnerPlans a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and use them to run and improve the service — tuning your suggestions, and feeding the anonymous aggregate counts ("6 households said too salty") that make the shared recipes better. You promise that what you submit is yours to give — your own words, not someone else's copied work. Your written notes are never published.

Our content: the recipes, photographs, and design of this site belong to Wallace Digital LLC. Cook from them, print them, stick them on the fridge, share a link with anyone — that's what they're for. Please don't republish or scrape the library wholesale; that's the one thing we ask.

House conduct

A family table has manners, and so does this one. Don't:

  • harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone;
  • post spam, advertising, or content that's illegal or that you don't have the rights to;
  • game the ratings — no rating recipes you haven't cooked to skew the numbers, no coordinated review-bombing, no fake accounts;
  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-download the site, or interfere with how it runs;
  • try to access anyone else's account or data.
Moderation & the door

To keep this place worth visiting, we may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice. In practice we'll usually start with a warning — most problems are misunderstandings — but we don't promise a warning, an explanation, or an appeal. Accounts that repeatedly post copyright-infringing material will be terminated (see our Copyright policy).

If an account is terminated, its content and ratings are removed from the service — the averages recompute as if it had never rated. If you think we got it wrong, you're welcome to write to us; a person will read it.

Email

Creating an account subscribes you to one email a week — your planning reminder and a chance to rate last week's dinners. Every one of those emails has a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately, no login required, no questions asked. Account emails (password resets, security notices) are separate and always sent — they're how we keep your account yours. We'll never sign you up for anything else without asking first.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, our Copyright policy explains exactly how to tell us and what happens next. We take valid notices seriously and act on them quickly.

The service, plainly

BetterDinnerPlans is provided as-is and as-available, and is free to use today. We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we can't promise perfection — recipes, availability, and features may change or contain errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

If your content or your conduct on the site causes someone to bring a claim against us, you agree to stand behind what you did — you'll cover the costs and damages that flow from it.

How the site itself may change

We may change, add, or retire features over time, and we may change how the site is paid for — including introducing a charge for some or all of it. We hope not to, and the plan is advertising. But we would rather tell you that plainly here than promise something we can't guarantee.

If a charge ever arrives, it will not be a surprise: we'll say so clearly and ahead of time, nothing you have already planned will be locked away from you, and you'll be able to close your account and take your leave without penalty. Anything you have already paid for, you keep for the period you paid for.

If we ever disagree

These terms are governed by Florida law. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and both of us consent to those courts. Small-claims court remains available to you where it applies. There is no arbitration clause in these terms — if we ever have a real disagreement, it goes to a real court.

Changes & contact

If these terms change meaningfully, we'll update this page and its date, and say so plainly — and if you hold an account, we'll ask you to accept the new terms before you keep using member features. Keep using the site after a change and you're agreeing to the updated terms. Questions about any of this? The Contact link in the footer reaches an actual person in an actual family kitchen.
